The critiquers have it.

I finished tweaking my manuscript at 1:09 a.m. yesterday morning and immediately sent it to my critique group for fear if I didn't I'd tinker it to death and never send it at all.

I'm a little nervous to hear what they have to say, because while these folks are nice, they're also honest.  Which is great!  But also a little intimidating.

However, I'm excited about having my novel that much closer to being ready to resend to the agent.

However, the closer I get to that point, the more scared I get that she's going to hate it.

Oh goodness, why can't this be easier?

Happy Monday, everyone!

Oh man, I can sympathize! I had a couple of major revision requests last fall. One of them I never resubbed, but the other one I finally did. Although I let it sit for a month before I did. There's something so final about that, isn't there? It's scary, but have faith! And what's the worst that can happen, really? I know it feels like there is so much riding on this, but it's stronger than it was before, and even if this agent doesn't like the revisions, chances are, someone else will. That's the beauty of a revision request, if you agree the notes are good, it makes it better no matter what...for someone.

Good luck, dearie. Sending you some positive vibes!

Kim, Welcome to my blog. Thanks for the follow.

Katie, Sophia, Old Kitty and Sarah, thanks so much for the well wishes and encouragement.

Carolina, you echoed exactly what I've been telling myself for the last three months as I slogged through revisions. Since your manuscript found a home it makes me more hopeful that mine, even if it doesn't end up with the agent that suggested the revisions, will also. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks, Jennifer!

And yes, I was a zombie the next day. Thankfully it was Sunday so my wonderful husband let me sleep in and recover a little.

Don't be nervous. Honesty from your BETAs is going to get your MS published some day :)

I sincerely hope that's the case, Vegas Writer.

And thanks so much for the sympathy, Talli. I don't know if you saw my previous post, but even though its really belated I did send a huge congrats your way for publishing The Hating Game. So excited for you!
